Alright, this is for all the expectant Mommies out there (sorry, expectant Dads, your weight gain due to sympathy cravings doesn't count) who have found their wardrobes steadily shrinking with each passing month.
I know I'm not the only one who has pulled on a shirt or pair of pants only to find that they've miraculously shrunk to a few sizes too small..or rather that my steadily expanding belly has become just a bit too round to be accommodated by the limited amount of fabric that was once my favorite shirt.
Maybe you haven't encountered that particular problem yet but how about the pair of jeans that 'shrank' in the dryer when you did laundry last? You know..you tug them up over your calves with ease, past your thighs with a little trouble and up around your hips with a huff of impatience and more than one frown line on your glowing face as you realize getting those jeans buttoned is going to be a chore. You try, with no success, to suck in the mass that has become home to your little one. You lay down in bed, back flat and try, also with no success, to button those stubborn jeans up thattaway.
Me? Up until recently I'd just reach under my belly, balance it on the backs of my hands and button up that way. If it sounds complicated and just a bit tricky, it really was. Try it. You'll see..but until you reach that last month or two, it works! Really though, who would have thought I was that coordinated?
Anyways, we ALL know what its like to get to the last outfit in our wardrobe that, comfortably and modestly, fits.
I was at that point, wearing the same old brown dress, when I took a chance and reached out to PinkBlush Maternity.
PinkBlush Maternity has everything a Modern Mommy needs; dresses, tops, and bottoms to help you feel fashionable/cute in the later months of your pregnancy. Their selection of Trendy Maternity Cothes is expansive, affordable and oh-so-cute.
I was given my pick of anything in their inventory and boy was I intimidated by the vast selection, being as indecisive as I am. As I mentioned before my pants haven't given me much trouble during my pregnancy and I've never been overly drawn to dresses so I was particularly drawn to their Tops, which made it a tad easier for me to pick.
In the end I went with their Blue Lace Accent Open Sleeve Maternity Top. With another Florida Summer on the way I knew I'd need something airy and lightweight so this shirt was perfect for me.
I wasn't disappointed-My shirt arrived days later and it was even more adorable than its picture! The Blue fabric it was made up from was even more gorgeous in person, the fabric more airy than I'd imagined and it fit better than I'd dreamed was possible in my current, very pregnant, state.
(No, there aren't two or three in there. Just the one little lady, weighing a whopping 8lbs and 11oz according to Thursdays Ultrasound!)
I've worn this shirt on more than one occasion so far and haven't had a single complaint. There's more than enough, breathable, material to cover my ginormous belly, I don't have to pull&tug constantly to make sure it stays below my protruding navel and there hasn't been any loose threads after going through the wash. Overall I have to say I LOVE this shirt and would certainly recommend it to anyone on the lookout for durable, fashionable and comfortable Maternity wear.
PinkBlush is definitely the place to go for your Maternity needs, ladies!
