The Pathway to Better Health: Natures Dynamics Review and Giveaway US 5/20

Disclosure: I received Natures Dynamics product(s) and information to facilitate and host this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may be different.

I was given the opportunity recently to review for Natures Dynamics, an all natural line of Organic Gummy Supplements and Probiotics.

Natures Dynamics was founded in 2006 and like most of my favorite companies, is family owned and operated. They believe that "vitamins, minerals and nutrients should be delivered to our bodies through spices, botanicals, fruits and vegetables grown in the earth’s soil and not from manufactured synthetic chemical vitamins."

In addition to manufacturing their fun, yummy Gummies Natures Dynamics also make a line of chewable and Vegetarian Probiotics.

I was sent a sample package of Natures Dynamics Organic Gummies for review, a package that didn't last long in a house of health conscious family members.

Once the contents of the box were revealed, a bottle was taken by just about each person in our home; I was left with a bottle of Body Boost Women for myself and a bottle of Berry Garden Kids for Sophie Bean.

As happy as I was to try Body Boost for myself I was even happier to have gotten the chance to try Sophie on the Berry Garden Kids Gummies. I'd been looking for quite some time for an Organic Multivitamin but didn't trust the usual brands. I most certainly wasn't going to go out and buy into the Flintstones vitamins but that's a whole different story for a different time.

I was eyed warily when I first showed Sophie her new vitamins but as soon as I shook out the recommend dose, 2 Gummies a day, her eyes lit up and the vitamins were promptly snatched from my hand. Now when we get up in the morning Sophie's first stop is the dresser where I keep her 'Gummy Bears.' Every day its the same, she hands me the bottle and holds out her hand expectantly.

I'm especially pleased at this routine we've started after having searched so long for a multivitamin for children that I could live with myself for giving Sophie.

As many servings of fruits and veggies that we consume on a daily basis here at home I know that she doesn't always get what she needs from meals and I wasn't about to settle for regular off-the-shelf multivitamins that contain artificial colors/chemicals.

Berry Garden Kids Gummies are made with organic fruits&veggies, organic flax seed, and organic ginger; all designed to give children the antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, digestive enzymes and omega-3 that they need. They contain no trans fats or dyes and have a natural cherry flavor that Sophie loves.

I can't say I'm complaining about the Womens Body Boost for myself, either! The taste is great and the benefits/how they make me feel are awesome. After having taken my own gummies for a month now I can honestly say I feel like a human being again and not some kind of Mommy-Bot.

Chill Out This Summer with Old World Gourmet: OWG Frozen Margareta Review and Giveaway! US 21+ 5/10

Disclosure: I received Old World Gourmet product(s) and information to facilitate and host this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s).  I can't pretend I know much about the weather anywhere else on earth but I can say that here in Florida its hotter than Hades. It really is no wonder why our electric bill skyrockets in the summertime, we'd all expire in this awful heat if we didn't run the air-conditioning.

I decided to take the girls on a walk the other afternoon for the first time since having my Cesarian and for the first leg of our walk it was quite enjoyable. I'd waited until after 4 when I THOUGHT it'd be safe to venture out with a heat sensitive toddler and newborn but I apparently miscalculated; 1 1/2 hours later we returned home and I barely had the strength to make it inside the house again.

Sophie had decided to be cranky on the walk home and Desmond had begun screaming up a storm shortly after due to the heat. I had never been so relieved to make the walk down our 1/4 mile driveway.

My family and I, not being able to bear the thought of our stove heating the house, threw together a simple dinner of cold cuts and shortly thereafter the children were fast asleep in our bed. For those of you living in a HOT state you know how quickly the energy is zapped out of you on the hottest of days; we all bore testament to the long, hot day.

By the time my Mommy-time rolled around I was a hot, sticky mess. So, what did I end up doing to combat this miserable heat?

I poured myself an Old World Gourmet frozen Margareta from their Dot Box collection and put my feet up. It was like instant relief.

OWG's frozen Cocktail Mixer could not have arrived at a better time, not with Summer reducing us to puddles of Floridian goo. In my overheated state I have to admit that I gulped down rather than sipped on the tall glass I poured myself. Ladies, the heat aside, it was just that good; looking back now I'm surprised I didn't suffer any brain freeze!

I should probably mention how ridiculously easy these drinks are to make, especially if you're planning a night with the ladies, having an afternoon mixer or like myself, having a drink alone on a hot summers night.

One of the things I loved most about OWG's Margarita drink mix is that you can choose between using Tequila OR a nice White wine (I went with a delicious Moscato).

After that its basically just following the easy steps like mixing the packets with your desired alcohol, measuring out a bit of water and then storing in the freezer in either a ziplock baggy or pitcher. No muss no fuss and you can forget about them until cocktail hour, seriously.

Its a safe bet that I'll be enjoying many more experiences with Old World Gourmet in the very near future! The Summers of Florida are too long and too dang hot to not sit a spell with one of their delicious mixes.

Interested in learning more about OWG and their yummy drink mixes AND gourmet snacks? Head on over and take a look!

If you're interested in staying in touch with the latest goings on over at OWG then you can become a FACEBOOK or TWITTER follower!

Get a Designer Look Without Breaking the Bank: Rugs USA Review and #Giveaway! 4/30

Disclosure: I received Rugs USA product(s) and information to facilitate and host this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may be different.

By now the entire world must know I've been in a tizzy about this remodeling business but it wasn't until these last few weeks since having baby Desi that the bedroom began to show signs of progress. My Carpenter and jack of all trades older Brother has been hard at work cleaning, patching, painting and installing; when I returned home from the Hospital I was shocked at the difference. I didn't recognize my own room!

You never would have guessed that the room had seen the many different decorating styles of 10+ people and the abuse of the same plus several children under the age of 10 that had come across markers/crayons.

My Carpenter B had really outdone himself: there were new baseboards, a beautiful custom-made chair-rail, several different colors painted over the eggshell white walls and he'd installed a legit windowsill. He even removed the VERY old carpet flooring and plans on putting down tile which, ladies and gentlemen, he'll be making himself.

It was several days before I was able to move back in with the girls..there was a thick layer of construction dust in the bedroom and my Brother was still working his tush off to make the room livable for the 3 of us. I spent the first few nights that we were home in bed with Sophie and my Mama; an experience that was short lived, slightly uncomfortable after a Cesarian but worth the fleeting feeling of being a child again.

I hadn't stepped foot in our room since I'd come home from the Hospital so when it was finally unveiled and announced livable for my basic sleeping needs, I was shocked beyond reason. It certainly was not the drab room I had left behind the day I went into labor!

The first thing that came I noticed, not that the entire project wasn't impressive, was the Shag carpet on the (sanded) wood floor. I wasted no time in burying my feet in its soft surface. I was beyond pleased and couldn't wait to write all about it in this review for Rugs USA!

Yep, thats right, I was recently given the opportunity to work with the folks over at Rugs USA and was sent their 5'3"x8' Venice Shaggy Cocoa Area Rug for review. It was the perfect piece for the remodeling project!

It arrived on my doorstep in record time and although I didn't get to unroll it until the remodel, I was over the moon. I'll admit to peeling back a corner of the packaging to cop a feel of the surface. I couldn't help it, I was like a curious kid.

The material was soft but not overly soft or plush, a factor that I really liked about the product. It was also a perfect fit, size wise for my bedroom.

Going back to the grand unveiling, I didn't waste any time with burying my feet in the carpets surface and I swear I breathed a sigh of happiness as my feet sank into it. It really was perfect and even more so for my purposes.

I wasn't fond of the idea that I wouldn't have carpet after my Brother finished the project so the Shag area rugs was a perfect way to give him what he wanted and still keep the carpet I wanted. I also had pictures in my head of being able to lay baby Desmond down on its soft surface so I could have my hands free or laying her down on it so she could play once she reached the playing stage.

The Venice Shag carpet is a fantastic product and I couldn't be happier with the quality; the manufacturers really outdid themselves and ensured that I'll be taking all of my carpet needs to Rugs USA in the future.

Head over to Rugs USA to check out their selection today, you'll find something for every room in the house! I'd even personally recommend the Venice Shag area rug to anyone looking for the carpet/rug that throws their project/room together and completes the desired look.

Take the Stink Out of Your Towels! Smelly Towel Review!

I received the above products through Sublime Media Connection in exchange for an honest review. In no way was I asked to give a positive review.

There are few things in life I find truly repugnant and dirty laundry is one of them; to be specific, dirty towels are the absolute most disgusting thing EVER.

Alright, so that may be a little bit of an exaggeration but this is not: My older brother's dirty gym towels are truly the most disgusting thing I've ever smelt in my life.

As a cyclist he has to be in tiptop shape and spends every second he isn't working, riding or working up a sweat at the gym.

I'm almost positive that at some point in every person's life, they've had the misfortune of knowing what a man fresh from the gym has the potential to smell like and its not pretty although I do have to give our boys credit, they actually apply deodorant before hitting the treadmills or weights.

As is his routine after a nice sweaty workout, my brother returns home with his (stinky) gym bag stuffed to the top with his grungy workout clothes, leaving it to the laundry-doers of the house to take it from there. Well, let me just tell you, its not a pleasant task and the worst part isn't even the clothes-its the still damp, sweaty towels.

Ugh, we are literally talking about something being so rank it could curdle a gallon of milk..and you know, the smell never really comes out, no matter how many times you wash or amp up the amount of detergent you throw in.

I was hugely pregnant, my toddler was on my last nerve and I was ready to have my baby; I was throwing in another load of rank gym towels when a little bottle on the back on the washer caught my eye.

Eureka! It was like a lightbulb went off in my head.

I had almost forgotten about my bottle of Smelly Towel cleaner but with the sweat smell permeating the towels I had just dumped in the wash, it couldn't have reappeared soon enough.

Following the directions and crossing my fingers, I dumped in a level capful (roughly about a tablespoon) and let it sit for about an 1 1/2 hours (the directions recommend 1-2.) After the hour and a half wait I re-entered the laundry room, turned on the wash cycle and let it go to work. I was skeptical that there was such a miracle on this earth that could remove the stench from our towels but figured it couldn't hurt to wait out the cycle, ya know, just to be sure.

An hour later when I went back in to check on the status of the towels, I entered the laundry room with high hopes but cautiously lifted the washers lid. I tried to tell myself not to get too excited and remind myself of the stench the Smelly Towel cleaner had gone up against.

I grabbed the first soggy towel and expecting to gag, reluctantly inhaled...

It was a miracle I tell you, a miracle! The stench was gone and while the towels didn't smell of flowers, the Smelly Towel cleaner had certainly done its job!

I highly recommend this product to my readers. Since the sweaty towels, I have tried Smelly Towel cleaner on loads of towels that I've forgotten overnight and that have gotten that 'forgotten laundry' smell and its worked the same magic.

There IS a warning against using Smelly Towel Cleaner with new colored towels because of the risk of fading. As with every product, read product directions before using and you'll be all set to go.

Smelly Towel cleaner is also made right here, close to home, in the USA.

Iszo Circle Lens Contacts Review and Giveaway! US 4/24

I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may be different.

I've always loved my eyes but there's always been this little part of me that envied those in need of contact lenses. I didn't envy them because they needed lenses or because I thought having to put them in sounded like such fun or because red, irritated eyes looked so attractive but because the world of Contact Lenses was so endless.

The days of plain Jane, prescription lenses has long since come and gone; in their place are lenses are all different colors, sizes and even designs. I envied their users because I've always wanted to be able to change my eye color at the drop of a hat and they were able to do just that with ease.

Well, I was determined that I too would be able to change my eyes on a whim and was tickled pink when, after an email sent with fingers&toes crossed, I was responded to by a company who had the products required to

I was given the opportunity recently to review i.Fairy Circle Lenses in Rose Grey by Iszo Circle Lens, a review that I couldn't have been more psyched about.

I called up my wonderful niece on a whim and after discussing her prescription information decided to gift her with the i.Fairy lenses. She was even more excited than I was and when I was finally able to hand over the lenses, she wasted no time in rushing to nearest mirror to pop them in.

To say I was jealous was an understatement.

Seriously, how cool are these Lenses? My niece loved them and I've seen her wearing them on more than one occasion already; she's even asked for the Iszo Circle Lens website so she can order a few more pairs!

One of the best parts about Iszo Circle Lenses is that there are so many different varieties to choose from and I don't just mean 3-4, I mean HUNDREDS of different styles. There is literally a design for everyone when you visit their website!

Amamante Nursing Wear Review and Giveaway! US 4/18

Disclosure: I received Amamante Nursingwear product(s) and information to facilitate and host this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may be different.

Every Breastfeeding Mommy knows that when it comes to your Nursingwear, comfort and functionality are key.

You've just had a baby and your breasts are tender, maybe a little cracked or even chaffed thanks to the little Miss or Mister that has happily attached themselves to you. Trust me, I know all too well the damage that can and is often done..

With my first child, our Sophie, getting the hang of breastfeeding was a challenge. Due to low glucose levels she was taken to the nursery to be monitored for a full 24 hours before she was returned to me and much to my chagrin I noticed she'd been bottle fed. Against my wishes. Needless to say it was tough getting her on track with the breast but we made it through and eventually she was quite the boob enthusiast.

Cracking, chaffing and bleeding ensued.

Going bra-less wasn't an option, as I'm sure my fellow Breastfeeders know all too well; so I sucked it up and continued on in our breastfeeding journey.

With my second pregnancy not only did I grow a cup size or two but I was also still nursing Sophie, now 23 months and at times I was still a little uncomfortable while nursing. Keeping that in mind and knowing the first few weeks of Breastfeeding a newborn were going to be tough, I set out in search of Nursingwear that was both functional (I had a terrible feeling that nursing two babies was going to be a challenge) and comfortable enough to be worn even on my most uncomfortable of days.

I recently was able to review the 2013 Comfy Curvy Nursing Bra from Amamante Nursingwear and after receiving my product in the mail I have to say it fit my needs perfectly.

The fit was perfect, it was breathable and best of all it didn't cause any additional discomfort which has been super important since bringing our girl, Desmond, home. A ferocious appetite on top of sharing time on the breast with her big sister has made things doubly uncomfortable so up until I tried my Comfy Curvy Bra on I had been skeptical that this product wouldn't leave me more sore than I'd started.

I worried over nothing. The Comfy Curvy Nursing Bra was, in a word, perfect. It didn't rub me the wrong way, the fit was great (as I mentioned earlier) and it made feedings a breeze. Whether it was morning, naptime or overnight feedings I was able to easily nurse my girls while wearing it. The Bra is roomy enough that I can shrug one shoulder out or lift up from the bottom to nurse and not feel horrible uncomfortable or restricted.

One of my favorite features of the Comfy Curvy Nursing Bra was that, being a bigger girl, it lived up to its hype and I didn't have any 'spillage' during the day or even at night when lying in bed. Even with my ample size I was able to stay safely tucked away and without worry thanks to the 'hidden sling' Amamante has ingeniously incorporated into the Comfy Curvys design; no other Bra can boast this feat!

KinderGlo LED Night Light Review and Giveaway! US and CAN 4/16

Disclosure: I received KinderGlo product(s) and information to facilitate and host this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may be different.

I'm going to admit something that I don't often admit to anyone; I was deathly afraid of the dark as a kid.

I was the kid you see in movies/TV shows that always had to have their door open a crack to let light in, who couldn't walk down the hall in the middle of the night without a light on and who imagined that there were monsters or 'bad guys' lurking in the shadows/around every corner. I even checked my closet religiously before bedtime.

Some might say that's not much of a secret and maybe it isn't..the real secret is that my fear of the dark has carried over to my adult life. Pretty sad but I still check the closet at night, still use the hall light for reassurance and when the opportunity presents itself, I still check under the bed just to be absolutely sure nothing is waiting to get me.

It was a win-win opportunity when I opened my email to learn I was approved to work on a review/giveaway for the wonderful folks over at KinderGlo.

What's the correlation between KinderGlo and my perpetual fear of the dark?

Simple: KinderGlo is the maker of the 'Never-Hot-To-Touch' LED Night Lights for toddlers/kids! My nights of waking up in the dark were over and I just knew my toddler was going to love the fun, kid-friendly character design of their night lights.
I was spot on; Sophie LOVED her KinderGlo Owl and began bringing him into bed with us every night after we received him in the mail!

I was very pleased that first night and every night thereafter to experience the gentle glow of our Owl; its not very often you find a night light that provides the perfect amount of light to sleep with. You either get too bright or not bright enough..with KinderGlo's LED night lights it was easy for both Mommy and Sophie to go right to sleep instead of being kept up or distracted by harsh lighting.

One of Sophie's favorite features is that she has the power to change our Owl's colors at a whim with just the touch of a button. I personally enjoy setting our owl on alternating colors but Sophie seems more partial to the solid red, blues, purple, green and yellows. Well, whatever makes her happy makes this Momma happy too!

Whether you keep your new LED pal on its decorative base or in bed with you/your child, there's a special Character for everyone. Whether it be the Owl, Hippo, Angel or other adorable character your child will love receiving his/her KinderGlo night light!
If you want to learn more about KinderGlo and/or their products you can visit them online!

To be kept in the loop about the latest news at KinderGlo you can follow them via Facebook or Twitter.
