It seems like the older I get the more picky I become about what I put on my feet. If you've been a fan since the beginning then you know how much I detest shoes to begin with and that I'd much rather be barefoot than anything else but on the rare occasion I do wear shoes I generally stick with the easy option of flip-flops. Unfortunately my preference, in addition to weight gain after my daughters were born, has begun to catch up with me and most days I now suffer from almost unbearable foot pain. Wearing my faithful old flipflops is no longer an option for long-term foot wear and I've had to start the search for shoes that would help support my feet and lessen the pain for me.

I was given the chance recently to "pair" up with Therafit to work on a review of their products and was sent a pair of their Alexa Women's sneakers in Ocean Blue/Yellow to faccilitate my review.
First off, can I just take a second to gush over how absolutely gorgeous this color scheme has translated onto these shoes? What you see is what you get in the case of the Alexa's, they are every bit as beautiful as their picture and I confess I've even caught myself staring at them on more than one occasion.
Okay, so now that we've gotten that part out of the way, on to the good stuff. I am very much in love with these shoes and its not only for their looks, although I do admit that's what lured me in at first but I've come to learn that there's more to these shoes than just their beauty. They also make me feel better good too, well, my feet anyways. It took a few days to properly break them in and we all know that can be a little uncomfortable but after day 3 of wearing them virtually everywhere they felt like a second skin. I found myself looking forward to putting them on and going for a walk with my girls in the mornings again, instead of dreading the 4 mile round trip trek like I had previously while wearing my old sneakers.
My feet and my children have never been happier and we've been loving our walks for weeks now all while being almost completely pain-free. My Alexa's have done exactly as Therafit advertises and that is reduce the stress on my aching feet, give them the cushioned support they've been needing and have greatly reduced the pain I feel each day.
Of course, I have Dr.Lisa Masterson from the hit series, "the Doctors" and founder of Therafit to thank for it all. Dr.Lisa knows what its like for us women to be constantly on our feet and she wanted to develop a shoe that would empower us, that could be worn all over and that would also help relieve pain in the legs, feet, hips and back.
One of my favorite parts about the Therafit system are the Personal Comfort Adapters, talked about by Dr.Lisa, here:
"The Therafit Personal Comfort System (PCS) Technology also utilizes three specially designed dual-density adapters located within the shock-absorbing wedge that can be removed to change the shoe's impact resistance and cushioning. Tired, aching feet? Remove one, two or all three of the Personal Comfort Adapters to change the resistance. Ready for a different feeling on your feet the next day? Pop them back in and get going!"
I'd say Dr.Lisa has certainly outdone herself! I've personally never felt the need to remove the Personal Comfort adapters but that's just my personal preference. You may find a different fit aka one or two less adapters will fit your needs.
So, one last thing I want to gush over before we get to the deets about a fan giveaway, is the giving aspect of Therafit.
