There's nothing more refreshing than sitting in the shade somewhere with an ice cold Soda on a hot summers day. Maybe its the tickle of the carbonation with each sip, maybe its the fizz tickling your nose or maybe its just the contrast of the cold against the bone-dry heat of your mouth.
Personally, I think its all of the above but I might be a little biased given my love for Soda in general, whether it be hot or cold.
I was given the chance to work with the Boylan Bottling Co. this summer and was sent a 4-pack of their Cane Sugar Cola for review. The opportunity to work with Boylan couldn't have presented itself at a better time what with the summer months looming here in Central Florida.
Boylan Bottling Company has been making delicious sodas in small batches since 1891 and since then Boylan has remained true to its roots and committed to producing only
authentic handcrafted soda. The sodamasters at Boylan not only stick to their own homemade recipes but they also use real ingredients too, a fact I was very pleased to learn more about considering most of the ingredients in our food today are the kind you trip over trying to pronounce and whats more, don't even sound like something you'd want in your food to begin with.
Another great thing about Boylan's products is that they use 100% pure Cane Sugar instead of our well-known enemy, High Fructose Corn Syrup; don't get me wrong, I love Coke but in our house we 'try' to give anything containing HFCS a very wide berth. My experiences with drinks containing Cane Sugar haven't been all that great but after hearing nothing but good things about Boylan Bottling Co. I decided to try them myself and I don't regret it for a single second.
While it is a bit more expensive than my preference of canned or fountain Cola's, I have to say its well worth the extra money spent and like many of the other new drinks I've had the pleasure of reviewing, Boylan has earned itself a spot on my list of preferred Soda products.
I've learned to savor the taste of my Cane Sugar Cola and plan to reward myself this week with one of the two Soda's I've managed to hide away in the back of the refrigerator. Unlike regular Coke, with its sugary taste, Boylan's Cane Sugar Coke has a more subtle taste and isn't overly sweet; instead of satisfying my sweet tooth it actually satisfies my thirst.
If Coke isn't your favorite don't let that deter you from trying Boylan's products. They have an extensive list of flavors to choose from, including:
Boylan Black Cherry
Boylan Ginger Ale
Boylan Root Beer
Boylan Creme
Boylan Original Birch Beer
Boylan Creamy Red Birch Beer
Boylan Cane Cola
Boylan Orange
Boylan Grape
Prefer Diet? Boylan also has a variety of Diet Soda's to choose from as well!
