Thermal-Aid Zoo Animals Review and #Giveaway! US and CAN 3/24

Disclosure: I received Thermal-Aid product(s) and information to facilitate and host this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may be different.

When I was a kid a very large portion of my time was spent either in tree's, dirt piles or wandering the back roads of the little town where I lived/live. It wasn't uncommon for me to come home a little before supper time with my arms/legs all scratched up, twigs/burrs in my hair and maybe even a bit of a limp.

We pass a lot down to our children; it didn't surprise me a bit when, after she'd learned to walk, that Sophie inherited my taste for adventure and my habit of collecting bruises/boo-boo's. She's always climbing up high somewhere, getting a band-aid or two and/or sporting a new bruise or 5.

When my Mom said, "I hope you have one just like you" I don't think anyone had any idea how much like me my child(ren) would actually be.

Seems like lately I've been running around much more often, baby-proofing this and baby-proofing that, all in vain. Our Sophie finds a way around every attempt we make to keep her unharmed/in one piece and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. Good thing I keep my diaper bag and home well stocked with 1st Aid supplies.

This week for example, Sophie took a tumble while playing with my Mom's goofy puppy. He's an oaf of a thing, I'd say around 50lbs or more and Sophie believes she can match him in anything. Well, they were playing their usual game of You-run-I'll-Chase when Sophie lost her footing on the tile floor and crashed right into one of the dining room chairs.

Poor thing!

After a good amount of tears and cuddling, I remembered. I had just the thing to help our pitiful, injured Miss feel better! Almost nothing can beat the comfort of being with your Mama but in this case there was an exception; I had Ollie the Koala, a cute and cuddly animal from Thermal-Aid's Zoo animal line!

Thermal-Aid Zoo Animals are 100% Natural Heating and Cooling packs geared towards children, a great alternative to the bland/unattractive packs us older folks grew up with.

Using Thermal-Aid Zoo Animals is as easy as can be: You can either place them in the Microwave for a safely heated and snuggly critter for your sick kiddo OR you can pop 'em in the Freezer as an ice pack for those bumps and bruises.

For my review I was sent Ollie the Koala and since we don't get much occasion to use a microwave nor do we own one, (yucky radiation) I immediantly set him to chill in the freezer upon his arrival. Asking for trouble or simply able to see what was in store for my accident-prone toddler? Maybe a bit of both but Ollie was ready to spring into action when we needed him!

As a lover of Stuffed toys Sophie was more than open to snuggling up to this chilly critter; the tears stopped, a smile appeared and although she was a bit surprised at the temperature of Ollie it didn't throw her off enough to stop her from taking him in for cuddle/telly time.

Ok, so maybe our Zoo Animal didn't get used to his full potential but he did get to come out of the Freezer and offer our hurt little one at least a small measure of comfort; to me, that is the most important part. Pain relief was achieved either way you look at it but to be put to his full potential, Ollie would just have to wait for another accident with another (older) kid. Until then, he has a spot in the Diaper bag and/or bed with Sophie, who adores him whether he's room temperature or not.

As I mentioned earlier, Thermal-Aid Zoo Animals are 100% Natural so for you Mommies/Daddies who cringe when you read labels, Ollie and his pals are 100% Chemical-Free and entirely safe for your little ones. They are specially engineered to help relieve the symptoms of the following ailments:

Fever
Sunburn
Earaches
Flu Symptoms
Sprains
Bee Stings
Headaches
Sore Muscles
Growing Pains
Insomnia

The best part about these cuddly creatures, aside from being too-too CUTE? They're also 100% washable! No worries about a little bit of dirt when you can just pop these critters into the washer and be done with it.

  2. We would love the light blue bear in the very back. I couldn't find anywhere on that site that named them unless you hit buy so I backed out.
