EcoCycled: Giving Books a Second Chance One Page at a Time US 12/8

In an age where books are quickly becoming a thing of the past and e-Readers are kings of the castle I often find myself saddened by the thought of my precious books becoming obsolete. I shudder to think of any book being homeless, cast into some dark corner in a rubbish room, never to be opened again and to be used only as a method of collecting cobwebs. Can you imagine a world where there's no new book smell wafting up at you through the pages or even the musty senior citizen book smell you get when opening a used book you uncovered in a secondhand store? I wouldn't know what to do with myself if all I had was a way-too-bright Kindle screen to read off of for the rest of my life. I mean..do you even know what happens to books when a kid gets a e-reader for Christmas? DO YOU?!

I'll spare my fellow book lovers the thought of a book graveyard and jump into my review for a company that gives books a second chance at life and new purpose. Dreamed up by Neece and Jeff, the geekery duo behind the scenes, EcoCycled breathes new life into old books by giving them a new outward appearance while letting their old qualities shine through! I was so excited to hear from Neece after my initial inquiry to have EcoCycled featured in our Gift Guide and am happy to show off the lovely prints I was sent for my review.

The 1st print is one that will have a place of honor in my girls' play nook and one that Neece worked particularly hard on to ensure that I was beyond pleased with before sending it out.

This particular Frozen design was laid over an old Dictionary print and turned out quite lovely. Neece did a fantastic job with making the Characters stand out among the text. She even customized the picture further by including my daughters' names, as you can see above, in the blue that matches Elsa's dress. I know once I frame it and hang it in their nook that my girls are going to love it. I just hope to hang it high enough where they can't get their naughty little fingers on it! It measures an adorable 7.69" x 10.69".

2nd in the lineup is this gorgeous Wine Glass Set design that was printed on a page from On The Joy of Cooking 1962. As soon as I saw it I knew I had a certain someone in my life that it was perfect for. I especially love the vibrancy of the sloshing red wine! It would go great on a kitchen wall or even hung somewhere in your dining room. Heck, if you wanted to get into DIY mode it would be awesome to be used decoratively as a coffee table piece or under the glass of an artists table. It  measures 6.25" x 8.75".

Last but certainly not least is this adorable Dorothy's Glass Slipper and Glenda the Good Witch Quote. This particular design is even done up on an actual page from the Wizard of Oz book, which was pretty cool, in my opinion. The amount of detail is fantastic even on a printed page such as this one. I was super impressed with how clear everything was when it arrived to me. It's going to make an excellent addition to our office decor! It measures 5.5" x 8.25".

How cute is that?
