Cake Lingerie Rocky Road Nursing Bra Set Review and Giveaway! 9/15

Disclosure: I received Cake Lingerie product(s) and information to facilitate and host this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained within, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may be different.

Every Breastfeeding Mama knows about functionality when it comes to their Nursing Wear but what most don't know is that we don't have to settle for the run-of-the-mill, plain Jane Maternity/Nursing Bra's we've grown accustomed to.

Personally I've come to loath the plain yet functional selection I've acquired over the last 3 years. You probably know just what I'm talking about: Nude, black or white spandex Nursing Bras that are comfortable and do what you need yet do nothing to help you feel pretty or womanly.

In my quest for something different I was able to partner with Cake Maternity and was sent their Rocky Road Nursing Bra and matching Brief set to help facilitate my review.

Ladies, Cake Lingerie's Rocky Road set was a step in the right direction for me. Since having Desi in March of this year I've had very few instances where I felt genuinely feminine or pretty. I've had a hard time with this new body from having two pregnancies so close together but found this new matching set to be just the ticket in appreciating my inner woman.

This matching set is not only functional with its easy to use, one-handed design and underwire but it is absolutely stunning as well with its Charcoal fabric, pink ribbon accents and sweet polka dot sling for nursing.

Take a look!

and yes, they did send the matching briefs too!

Being as big busted as I am I have always had a hard time finding a Bra that fit correctly or one that was cute and in my size. I've always come home from shopping at Victoria's Secret or other Bra retailers either empty-handed or just plain discouraged.

Cake Lingerie makes it easy for you to buy the correct bra size, as you know during pregnancy it changes quite a bit.  The interactive fitting guide guides you through the process as you measure and plan for months to come. If you have any questions regarding your size you can always contact Cake Lingerie's fantastic CS and they will help you in a snap!
Your breasts are changing and with that comes your size and support needs.  What to keep in mind when shopping for a bra?
  • If you are bulging over the top or out the sides, go up a cup.
  • If back fat appears, go down a band size.  Your bra is too big!
  • When pregnant, start out and end with wire-free bras, a nice flexible wire from month 3-9 for support.
  • If your straps are falling down, go down a band size.
  • Bras lose tightness over time, make sure it fits on the loosest hook day one.
  • Never wear the same bra two days in a row.  They need a rest!

Pregnancy is a hard time for every woman and with it comes lots of expected and then not so expected changes. Treat yourself to something nice with Cake Lingerie and their seriously yummy Lingerie lines!

  3. Relax. That's the biggest thing. If you freak out the situation doesn't get any better. And try to get a great help system, such as friends and family that you trust.

  6. Eat! I remember when I got home after my third child, I was so focused on getting into a routine, taking care of three children, I forgot to eat the first day home.

  12. Don't be afraid to ask for help! If you're exhausted, stressed, confused...there are always people that will jump in and gladly help, cook, give advice, and even a shoulder to cry on when you get overwhelmed. It's a learn as you go experience-no one is a 'natural'. Rest as much as possible- and enjoy the little things! ~Raine~
